In 2011,
I gave myself a big gift,
making my dream come true.

One year of traveling.
(For the decision, I had two jobs, working over 14 hours a day in past 3 years.)

Met a lot of people in my gap year.

I met many backpackers by couchsurfing's website.
It's intresting that everyone has a world map in their home. No exception:)

We communicated with each other by e-mail.
When I stand in front of their house, we are still strangers.
After he or she open their door, we become friends.
We usually have a hug, and the story between us was starting.

We share our life with each other,
try to figure out each other's the culture, economy, politics, food, attraction...
Usually we have local breakfast together.
If host has free time, we'll hang around.
We go to bar at night, have some beer and dishes.
Then we'll make some traditional Taiwanese Food in return.

Different people, culture, background...
making one and one stories.

I became a person who is full of stories,
until I'm 80 years old grandmom. I still can tell my grandson that your grandmom had travel over 20 country when I was young...

Thinking the good old days,
I wish when I have my own house,
I can also share my house to those couchsufer.

It's very unbelievable for our culture, you invite a stranger to live your house without any charge. It's very pure relationship between people base on trust without doubt.

Thanks for couchsurfing and hosts.
I'm very appreciate and thankful for your kindness.
